I love to golf in the morning, which in the spring is the worst time because of the pollen and fresh cut grass (golf courses mow the grass early in the morning). My son used to have severe allergies that we were told was causing his asthma attacks that resulted in frequent, almost daily, uses of breathing treatments. I knew I had to find another solution after my son was hospitalized for pneumonia after using budesonide breathing treatment (which if you read the side effects pneumonia is one of them) prescribed by his western medical Dr.

NAET stands for Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques. It is a holistic therapy developed by Dr. Devi Nambudripad, D.C., L.Ac., M.D.(WI), Ph.D.,(Acu). NAET combines principles from acupuncture, chiropractic, nutritional management, and kinesiology. NAET addresses allergies, sensitivities and intolerances that to many patient’s surprise, led to their long list of symptoms, illnesses and diseases.
According to Dr. Devi Nambudripad, M.D. (WI), D.C., L.Ac., Ph.D. (Acu.) the founder and developer of NAET, NAET is a combination of Allopathy & Western Sciences, Kinesiology, Chiropractic, Acupuncture/Oriental Medicine and Nutrition. NAET works on the principle that allergies and sensitivities are caused by energy imbalances in the body. By using a combination of acupressure, acupuncture, and energy balancing techniques, NAET aims to reprogram the body’s response to allergens and restore balance.
From a Western biomedical perspective, research in NAET has provided novel insights into the association between NAET and epigenetic factors, according to Dr. Roy Nambudripad, M.D., who heads NAET worldwide. He did acknowledge more multiple and reproducible research results in a consistent fashion are needed so that we can at least say that there is a definitive result.
Other theories have been posited though not definitive, suggesting the science behind NAET is similar to Pasteur’s demonstration in vaccinating chickens and humans with attenuated form of molecular energy samples of a problem item and later applied it to many other diseases very effectively like Pasteur’s discovery and NAET was applied.
With NAET however, NAET + Acupressure application to specific points of the peripheral nervous system (PNS) while exposing a miniscule portion of the PNS to the attenuated version of the allergen seems to provide similar effect as Pasteur’s in the body. The result in essence vaccinates or desensitizes the body to the allergen in a manner that’s safe and non-invasive.
